Our Story
Roline's began in 2009 with a mission: to educate and to promote Filipino culture through our food. What started as a family-owned restaurant in Vacaville, California grew into a beloved gathering place known for its warm hospitality and signature creations, including Roline's Original Halo Halo Bar®, kamayan feasts, catering, and our renowned sauces.
Over the years, guests kept asking the same question: "Can I take this sauce home?" Whether it was our rich Lechon Sauce or our sweet, tangy Lumpia Sauce, people wanted a way to enjoy the flavors of Roline's beyond the dining table. That demand inspired us to bottle the recipes that had become part of countless celebrations, family dinners, and special occasions.
Today, Roline's Sauces allow us to continue our mission in a new way - bringing Filipino flavors into kitchens across the country. Every bottle is rooted in family traditions, culinary expertise, and a deep love for sharing our culture with others.
Our Founder/Chef
Chef Roline Casper’s journey began with humble roots. Raised by a hardworking single mother, she spent her childhood summers in her lola’s (grandmother’s) kitchen in the Philippines, where she learned to appreciate the love, skill, and dedication that go into every home-cooked meal. As her lola’s kitchen assistant and official taste tester, Roline developed a deep passion for food that would later inspire her life's work.
Chef Roline is the pioneering force behind Roline’s Original Halo Halo Bar® and the creator of the Baonnista® Sandwiches. She graduated valedictorian from the Napa Valley Cooking School under Chef Barbara Alexander, specializing in classical French cuisine. Her first book, The Easy Filipino Cookbook: 100 Classics Made Simple, became a #1 New Release on Amazon in 2020 and was even featured in comedian Jo Koy’s Easter Sunday movie press kit, gifted to celebrities and friends alike. In 2022, she was honored as one of Solano County’s "Groundbreaking Women," standing alongside fellow Asian American authors and New York Times bestsellers.
Chef Roline continues to advocate for Filipino representation through her food, drawing inspiration from her childhood, travels, and the people she meets along the way. Beyond the kitchen, she serves as a guest instructor at her alma mater under Chef Elena Sirignano, and she was proudly named Travis Air Force Base’s first Filipina Honorary Commander. When she’s not cooking or traveling, Chef Roline dedicates her time to supporting charitable and nonprofit organizations, working behind the scenes to uplift her community.
